Rear Door Window Bind (Replace Lower Run Channel)

This bulletin is being revised to add the 2007-2008 model years, a VIN breakpoint and change the procedure. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 06-08-64-016 (Section 08 -- Body & Accessories).

Some customers may comment that the right or left rear door glass binds when rolling the window up or down, or the window won't roll down.

The door glass may have come out of the run channel and lodged itself between the rubber weatherstrip and the metal run channel. When this happens, the weatherstrip in the run channel may have been pulled downward coming out of the run channel or it has been pulled upward blocking the path for the window in the run channel.

1. Remove the right rear door trim following SI.
2. Roll the window to the full up position. Loosening the run channel may be necessary if it is jammed in the rubber weatherstrip.
3. Install the new channel, making certain that the weatherstrip is reinstalled flush to the top and bottom of the run channel.
