FRONT STABILIZER BAR LINK SQUEAK NOISE/REPLACE LINK ASSY

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990 L-CAR GTZ (RPO Z04)

CONDITION:

Some 1990 L-car GTZ models (RPO Z04) assembled prior to VIN LY157125 may exhibit a squeak/squawk noise condition that is most evident when turning the steering wheel 30 degrees right or left of centre with the vehicle stationary.

CAUSE:

May be the result of inadequate lubrication in the stabilizer bar links.

CORRECTION:

Replace both stabilizer bar links with new links, P/N 17999125 following applicable Shop Manual procedure.
