SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE
APPLICATION: 1991 BERETTA (RPO 1LV37) AND P195/70R14 (RPO QME) TIRES
THIS BULLETIN ADVISES DEALERS OF A CHANGE IN TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE FROM 35 PSI (240 KPA) TO 30 PSI (210 KPA) FOR SPECIFIED VEHICLES. DURING SERVICE AND NEW CAR PREPARATION, INFLATE THE TIRES TO THIS NEW INFLATION PRESSURE OF 30 PSI (210 KPA). THIS CHANGE WILL IMPROVE VEHICLE RIDE AND REDUCE IMPACT HARSHNESS.
THE 1991 CHEVROLET CORSICA/BERETTA SERVICE MANUAL, MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION (SECTION 0B), PAGE 0B-10 DOES NOT SHOW THE NEW INFLATION PRESSURE. AS OF OCTOBER 29, 1990, VEHICLES WITH VIN BREAKPOINTS AFTER Y132724 (WILMINGTON) AND E126889 (LINDEN) HAVE NEW INFLATION PRESSURE LABELS (CODE LBD) WITH THE PRESSURE AT 30 PSI (210 KPA). VEHICLES WITH VIN BREAK POINTS BEFORE Y132725 (WILMINGTON) AND E126890 (LINDEN) HAVE OLD LABELS (CODE LAS) WITH THE PRESSURE AT 35 PSI.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
