---------- Some 1991 and 1992 L-cars built prior to VIN Number 1G1LT53T7NY112481 may experience a rattle condition originating from the radio area.
------ The hard plastic locating mounting retainer may not fit tight enough to prevent movement. A revised rubber mounting retainer is now being used in production and may be used in previous models to correct this condition. Also, when the radio is removed, the rubber mounting retainer may stay in the I/P hole. It is necessary to remove the rubber mounting bullet from the I/P boss and re-install it on the radio stud before re-installing the radio.
----------- Remove radio as described in the proper L-car Service Manual and replace the mounting stud, retainer, and nut with the following revised parts.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
