SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE WASHER PUMP MAY NOT PRIME OR PUMP WASHER FLUID.
THE FILTER GROMMET RESTRICTS THE FLOW OF WASHER FLUID. AS THE LEVEL OF FLUID DECREASES, THE PRESSURE OF THE WASHER FLUID DECREASES TO A POINT WHERE IT DOES NOT FLOW THROUGH THE FILTER GROMMET.
A NEW FILTER GROMMET, P/N 22039457, MUST BE INSTALLED IN ORDER TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION. REFER TO SECTION 8E OF THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUAL.
1. REMOVE THE PUMP FROM THE WASHER BOTTLE.
2. REMOVE THE FILTER GROMMET FROM THE PUMP (SEE FIGURE 1).
3. INSTALL A NEW GROMMET WITHOUT FILTER, P/N 22039457, IN THE WASHER BOTTLE.
4. INSTALL THE WASHER PUMP INTO THE NEW GROMMET AND WASHER BOTTLE (SEE FIGURE 2).
