Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 16597 Size: MH
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer toFuel Pressure Relief Procedure
  2. Drain the fuel tank. Refer toFuel Tank Draining Procedure
  3. Remove the fuel tank. Refer toFuel Tank Replacement
  4. Remove the fuel sender assembly. Refer toFuel Sender Assembly Replacement
  5. Remove the bumper from modular fuel sender assembly.
  6. Remove the fuel level sensor (5) from modular fuel sender.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 16597 Size: MH
  1. Install the Fuel level sensor (5) to the modular fuel sender.
  2. Install the bumper to the modular fuel sender assembly.
  3. Install the fuel sender assembly. Refer toFuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
  4. Install the fuel tank. Refer toFuel Tank Replacement .
  5. Refill the tank.
  6. Inspect for fuel leaks by using the following procedure:
    7. 6.1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position for two seconds.
    6.2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position for ten seconds.
    6.3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    6.4. Check for fuel leaks.
