CUSTOMER COMMENT OF POOR PERFORMANCE OR SAG DURING RAPID ONE-QUARTER (1/4) ACCELERATION DURING THE FIRST MILE OF ENGINE WARM UP WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW 35 DEGREES F MAY BE RECEIVED ON SOME 1985 CORVETTES WITH L98 5.7L ENGINES AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. A NEW SERVICE PROM IS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THIS CONDITION. REFER TO THE CHART BELOW FOR CORRECT USAGE OF THE SERVICE PROM: MODEL - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, SERVICE PROM - 16052290 ALL CORVETTES PRODUCED AFTER MARCH 8, 1985 (VIN 1G1440786F5120252) HAVE A NEW ECM AND PROM INSTALLED. THE PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED FOR THIS REPAIR ARE DETAILED IN SECTION 6E3-76 OF THE 1985 CORVETTE SHOP MANUAL.
