EARLY/SOFT UPSHIFTS CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY for Chevrolet Corvette 1985

Model and Year 1985 THM 700R4 "YT" MODEL TRANSMISSIONS

On March 18, 1985, or Julian Date 077 (figure 1), all 1985 THM 700-R4 "YT" Model transmissions are being built using a newly calibrated control valve assembly. This new assembly, part #8654229, will eliminate a condition of early and soft upshifts.

IMPORTANT: Prior to replacing the control valve assembly for the condition described above, verify that the T.V. cable is adjusted properly A T.V. cable that is adjusted too long may also cause early and soft upshifts.
