Customer comment of poor performance or sag during rapid one-quarter (1/4) throttle acceleration during the first mile of engine warm up when outside temperatures are below 35 degrees F may be received on some 1985 Corvettes with L98 5.7L engines and automatic transmission.
A new service PROM is available to repair this condition. Refer to the chart below for correct usage of the service PROM:

All Corvettes produced after March 8, 1985 (VIN 1G1440786F5120252) have a new ECM and PROM installed.
The procedures to be followed for this repair are detailed in Section 6E3-76 of the 1985 Corvette Shop Manual.
