The Rocker Arm Cover Removal and Installation procedure called out in Section 6A1, Page 6A1-6 of the 1985 Corvette Shop Manual (ST-364-85) have been revised as shown below. Please update your shop manual accordingly.
1. Disconnect negative battery cable. 2. Remove left injector harness cover. 3. Disconnect PCV valve at rocker arm cover. 4. Disconnect spark plug wires at rocker arm cover. 5. Loosen air injection reaction (A.I.R.) pump pulley bolts. 6. Disconnect serpentine belt at A.I.R. pump. 7. Remove A.I.R. pump pulley. 8. Disconnect A.I.R. hose at A.I.R. pump. 9. Remove A.I.R. pump and lower mounting bracket. 10. Remove rocker arm cover bolts. 11. Remove rocker arm cover.
1. Disconnect negative battery cable. 2. Remove right injector harness cover. 3. Disconnect A.I.R. hose at pipe. 4. Disconnect heater hose at throttle body. 5. Disconnect wires at idle air control (IAC) throttle position sensor (TPS) and injector. 6. Disconnect spark plug wires at rocker arm cover. 7. Remove rocker arm cover bolts. 8. Remove rocker arm cover.
1. Thoroughly clean rocker arm cover sealing surfaces and apply RTV. 2. Reverse removal procedures.
