SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE SEC 6E3 INTAKE PLENUM BOLT TORQUE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 88 AND 89 FB YB 5.0L (VIN F) AND 5.7L (VIN 8) ENGINES

The intake manifold plenum/runner bolt torque specification has been revised for engines produced for the 1988 and 1989 model years. The new torque specification for the plenum/runner bolts is 34.0 N.m (25 lb.ft.). Service manuals should be changed to reflect this revision.
