'SERVICE LTPWS' LIGHT ON TIRE PRESSURE IS CORRECT

SUBJECT: "SERVICE LTPWS" LIGHT ON, TIRE PRESSURE CORRECT (REPLACE WHEEL SENSORS)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990 CHEVROLET "Y" MODEL

CONDITION:

---------- The "Service LTPWS" warning light may illuminate on 1990 'Y' car indicating low tire pressure, but the actual tire pressure will be correct.

CAUSE:

------ Some of the tire pressure sensors were manufactured with a translator which was not to specification, causing the sensor to be inoperative. This could affect some vehicles between the following VIN'S:

Sensor part numbers: Right Front 10098494 Left Front 10098496 Right Rear 10098497 Left Rear 10098495
