Subject: HOOD HINGE COSMETIC CORROSION

Model and Year: 1991-92 CORVETTE

CONDITION:

---------- Some customers may comment about hood hinges that exhibit cosmetic corrosion on some 1991 or 1992 Corvettes.

CORRECTION:

----------- Replace both hinge assemblies (one at a time) using the Service Manual procedure found in Section 10-5, Body Front End. Use GM #1 2509857-58 Hood Hinges for replacements.

NOTICE: MAKE SURE TO PROTECT THE EDGES OF THE HOOD AND FRONT FASCIA WITH TOWELS OR RAGS DURING THE REPAIR TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE PAINTED SURFACES.
