Removal Procedure

J 38185 Spring Hose Clamp Pliers

    Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  2. Object Number: 12064  Size: SH
  3. Remove the two radiator outlet hose clamps, one at the water pump, and one at the radiator.
  4. Remove the radiator lower outlet hose.
  5. Remove the two radiator inlet hose clamps, one at the water pump, and one at the radiator.
  6. Remove the radiator upper hoses.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator inlet hoses.
  2. Install the two radiator inlet hose clamps, one at the water pump, and one at the radiator.
  3. Install the lower radiator outlet hose.
  4. Install the two radiator outlet hose clamps, one at the water pump, and one at the radiator.
  5. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  6. Start the engine. Check for coolant leaks.
