Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 0A.

  2. Object Number: 14288  Size: SH
  3. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder retaining nuts.
  4. Notice: Do not allow the clutch actuator cylinder to hang by the hydraulic hoses. This may damage the clutch hydraulic hoses.

  5. Remove the hydraulic line from the retaining clip. Note the position of the hydraulic line.
  6. Remove the pushrod and the clutch actuator cylinder from the clutch housing.

  7. Object Number: 31958  Size: SH
  8. Remove the hydraulic line fitting from the clutch actuator cylinder.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 31958  Size: SH
  1. Install the hydraulic hose fitting to the clutch actuator cylinder.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the hose fitting to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the pushrod and the clutch actuator cylinder into the clutch housing.

  4. Object Number: 14288  Size: SH
  5. Install the clutch actuator cylinder retaining nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the hydraulic line into the retaining clip.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Bleed air from the hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
