For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to SECTION 0A.
  2. Support the vehicle with safety stands.
  3. Clean all the dirt and all the oil from around the fill plug.

  4. Object Number: 12091  Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil fill plug.

  6. Object Number: 2327  Size: SH
  7. Check that the transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.
  8. Install new transmission lubricant if required. Refer to Sealers and Lubricants .

  9. Object Number: 12091  Size: SH
  10. Install the oil fill plug.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the oil fill plug to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  12. Remove the safety stands.
  13. Lower the vehicle.
