Object Number: 3650 Size: SH

The driven member is the clutch disc. The clutch disc has a splined hub, which slides lengthwise along the splines of the input shaft and drives the input shaft through these same splines. Each side of the plate has suitable friction facings that are attached by means of rivets.

The steel segments that drive the splined hub are slightly waved. This causes the contact pressure on the facings to rise gradually as the waved springs flatten out. This helps to eliminate chatter as well as makes clutch engagement as smooth as possible.

The disc has a diameter of 28 cm (11.02 in) and does not have any torsional dampner springs surrounding the splined hub, since the dual mass flywheel incorporates this function into its design.
