Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 74086  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor connector.
  2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor connector.

  3. Object Number: 179304  Size: SH
  4. Remove the air intake duct/cleaner assembly.

  5. Object Number: 64027  Size: SH

    Important: Note the position of the upper radiator support in relationship to the fan shroud assembly. This must be reassembled correctly in order to retain the fan shroud assembly.

  6. Remove the radiator upper support bolts.
  7. Remove the radiator upper support.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 64027  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator upper support.

  2. Object Number: 411880  Size: SH
  3. Position the radiator upper support between the plastic guides located on top center of the fan shroud.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the radiator upper support bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the upper radiator support bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  7. Tuck the outboard corners of the lower cooling baffle under the support until it locks into place.
  8. Important: Seat the air intake duct/cleaner assembly retaining grommets fully. If necessary moisten the grommets with water before installation.

  9. Install the air intake duct/cleaner assembly.

  11. Connect the MAF sensor connector.
  12. Connect the IAT sensor connector.
