Valve Rocker Arm Cover Removal Left Side

Important: Do not remove the ignition coils from the valve rocker arm cover unless required.

Do not remove the vent valve grommet from the cover unless service is required.

If the vent valve grommet has been removed from the cover, a NEW grommet must be installed.

  1. Remove the crankcase vent vacuum tube from the grommet.

  2. Object Number: 63205  Size: SH
  3. Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts.
  4. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.

  5. Object Number: 63244  Size: SH
  6. Remove the crankcase vent valve grommet from the left cover (if required).
  7. Discard the vent valve grommet.
  8. Remove the ignition coil wire harness (if required).

  9. Object Number: 65292  Size: SH
  10. Remove the ignition coils and bolts from the cover (if required).
  11. Remove the gasket and bolt grommets from the cover.
  12. Discard the gasket. The bolt grommets may be reused if not damaged.

Valve Rocker Arm Cover Removal Right Side

Important: Do not remove the ignition coils from the valve rocker arm cover unless required.

Do not remove the oil fill tube from the cover unless service is required.

If the oil fill tube has been removed from the cover, install a NEW tube during assembly.

  1. Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts.

  2. Object Number: 63205  Size: SH
  3. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.

  4. Object Number: 64263  Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil fill cap from the oil fill tube.
  6. Remove the oil fill tube (if required).
  7. Discard the oil fill tube.
  8. Remove the gasket and bolt grommets from the cover.
  9. Remove the ignition coil wire harness (if required).

  10. Object Number: 65290  Size: SH
  11. Remove the ignition coils and bolts (if required).
  12. Discard the gasket. The bolt grommets may be reused if not damaged.
