For 1990-2009 cars only
The SDM maintains sufficient voltage to cause a deployment for up to 10 minutes after any of the following conditions:
| • | After the ignition switch is turned to OFF. |
| • | After the battery is disconnected. |
| • | After the fuse powering the SDM is removed. |
To avoid accidental deployment check the service procedure requirements for removal of the AIR BAG fuse and disconnection of the deployment loops. To avoid the 10 minute time period refer to Disabling the SIR System to disconnect the inflator modules from the deployment loops.
