Blower Motor Is Inoperative At High Speed (C60)

  1. Disconnect the blower motor control module connector C1.
  2. Connect a DMM between terminal F of the blower motor module connector C1 and a known good ground.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  4. Place the HVAC selector switch in the VENT position.
  5. Turn the blower switch to the HI position.
  6. Measure the available voltage at terminal F of the blower motor module connector C1.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0 -14.0V

Go to Step 6

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the HVAC control head connector C2.
  3. Connect a DMM between the HVAC control head connector C2 terminal A and the blower motor module connector C1 terminal F.
  4. Measure CKT 52 for continuity between these connectors.

Is CKT 52 continuous between the HVAC control head connector C2 and the blower motor module connector C1?

Replace the HVAC control head.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 52.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to HVAC Blower Control System Check (C60)

  1. Connect a DMM between the blower motor control module connector C1 terminal G and a known good ground.
  2. Measure the available voltage at terminal G of the blower motor module connector C1

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0 -14.0V

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 1342 between the instrument panel electrical center and the blower motor control module connector C1.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the blower motor control module.
