Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 82162  Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Loosen the passenger side window defroster duct from the evaporator and heater core module.
  3. Remove the vacuum hose from the actuator.
  4. Remove the electrical connector (3) from the motor (2).
  5. Remove the two screws retaining the motor (2) to the module (1).
  6. Remove the motor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the motor (2) to the evaporator and heater core module (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the temperature door motor screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the motor (2).
  4. Connect the vacuum hose to the actuator.
  5. Install the passenger side window defroster duct to the evaporator and heater core module.
  6. Install the upper I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
