DTC B0333 - Ambient Outside Temperature Sensor Circuit Open (CJ2)

  1. Disconnect the ambient outside temperature sensor connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Press the AUTO mode button on the HVAC programmer module.
  4. Use a DMM to measure the voltage between terminal A of the ambient outside temperature sensor connector and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

4.5V to 5.5V

Go to Step 3

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 735.

Is the repair complete?

Use a DMM to measure the voltage between terminal A and terminal B of the ambient outside temperature sensor connector.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

4.5V to 5.5V

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 1798 between the ambient outside temperature sensor connector and S203.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the ambient outside temperature sensor. Refer to Ambient Outside Temperature Sensor in Automatic Air Conditioning.

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Press the A/C mode button on the HVAC programmer module. OR
  2. Use a Scan Tool to clear the DTCs from memory.

Are the DTCs cleared from memory?
