DTC B0348 - Sun Load Temperature Sensor Circuit Open (CJ2)

  1. Disconnect the sun load temperature sensor connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Press the AUTO mode button on the HVAC programmer module.
  4. Use a DMM to measure the voltage between terminal A of the sun load temperature sensor connector and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

4.5 - 5.5V

Go to Step 3

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 590.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

Use a DMM to measure the voltage between terminal A and terminal B of the sun load temperature sensor connector.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

4.5 - 5.5V

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 61 between the sun load temperature sensor connector and S283.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

Replace the sun load temperature sensor. Refer to Sun Load Temperature Sensor in Automatic Air Conditioning.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 6

  1. Press the A/C mode button on the HVAC programmer module. OR
  2. Use the scan tool to clear the DTCs from memory.

Are the DTCs cleared from memory?
