DEFINITION: Passenger's side air flow temperature does not change, no DTCs are set (CJ2).

  1. Disconnect the RH electric actuator connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Use a DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 5 of the RH electric actuator connector and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0 - 14.0V

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 41 between the instrument panel electric center and the RH electric actuator connector.

Is the repair complete?

Recheck System Operation

  1. Disconnect the HVAC programmer module connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between terminal 5 and terminal 6 of the RH electric actuator connector.
  3. Use a DMM to measure the voltage between terminal C6 of the HVAC programmer module connector and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0 - 14.0V

Locate and repair an open or high resistance in CKT 1236. If CKT is OK, replace the HVAC programmer module. Refer to HVAC Programmer Module in Automatic Air Conditioning.

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 1798. If the CKT is OK, replace the RH electric actuator. Refer to RH Electric Actuator in Automatic Air Conditioning.
