  1. Disconnect the DRL Control Module connectors C1 and C2.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Connect a DMM between the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminal C and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminal C.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Check the CR CONT MiniFuse® #20 for an open.

Is the CR CONT MiniFuse® #20 open?

Repair a short to the ground in CKT 1239.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Remove the CR CONT MiniFuse® #20.
  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center terminal A which is used for the CR CONT MiniFuse® #20 and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage at terminal A.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 1239.

  1. Connect a DMM between the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminal F and ground.
  2. Measure the voltage at the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminal F.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Check the BCM 13 MiniFuse® #6 for an open.

Is the fuse open?

Repair a short to ground in CKT 141.

  1. Remove the BCM 13 MiniFuse® #6.
  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center terminal A which is used for the BCM 13 MiniFuse® #6 and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage at terminal A.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 141.

  1. Connect a DMM between the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminal A and ground.
  2. Measure the continuity between the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminal A and ground.

Is CKT 150 continuous to ground?

Repair an open in CKT 150 between the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminal A and G201.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a DMM between the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminals E and F.
  2. Measure the voltage at the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminals E and F.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

  1. Keep the DMM connected between the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminals E and F.
  2. Disconnect the park brake switch connector.
  3. Measure the voltage at the DRL Control Module connector C2 terminals E and F.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

Repair a short to ground in CKT 33.

  2. Measure the voltage at the DRL Control Module connector C1 terminal D.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

  1. Remove the HDLP Circuit Breaker #53.
  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center terminal A which is used for the HDLP Circuit Breaker #53 and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage at terminal A.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

Connect a fused jumper (20 A) between the instrument panel electrical center terminal A and terminal B which is used for the HDLP Circuit Breaker #53.

Does the 20 A fuse within the fused jumper immediately show an open circuit?

Repair a short to ground in CKT 842 or CKT 103.

Is the repair complete?

Go to DRL Diagnostic System Check

  1. Leave the fused jumper (20 A) in place between the instrument panel electrical center terminal A and terminal B which is used for the HDLP Circuit Breaker #53.
  2. Connect a DMM between the DRL Control Module connector C1 terminal D and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage at the DRL Control Module connector C1 terminal D.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Replace the HDLP Circuit Breaker #53.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 842.

  1. Reconnect both DRL Control Module connectors C1 and C2.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Backprobe the DRL Control Module connector C1 terminal F with the positive lead from a DMM.
  4. Connect the negative lead of the DMM to ground.
  5. Measure the voltage at the DRL Control Module connector C1 terminal F.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Replace the DRL Control Module.

  1. Disconnect the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector C1.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Connect a DMM between the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector C1 terminal A and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector C1 terminal A.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

  1. Remove the DRL R Micro Relay #38 from the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center terminal 87 which is used for the DRL R Micro Relay #38 and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage at the instrument panel electrical center terminal 87.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Replace the instrument panel electrical center.

Connect a fused jumper (10 A) between terminals 87 and 30 of the instrument panel electrical center which is used for the DRL R Micro Relay #38.

Does the RH turn/park illuminate?

Go to Step 10

  1. Leave the fused jumper (10 A) in place.
  2. Remove the RH turn/park lamp from its socket.
  3. Connect a DMM between the RH turn/park lamp socket terminal A and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at terminal A.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

  1. Reinstall the DRL R Micro Relay #38 back into the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
  3. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) between the BCM connector C2 terminal D16 and ground.

Does the RH turn/park lamp illuminate?

Replace the BCM.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Remove the DRL R Micro Relay #38 from the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center terminal 85 used for the DRL R Micro Relay #38 and the BCM connector C2 terminal D16.
  3. Measure the continuity between the instrument panel electrical center terminal 85 and the BCM connector C2 terminal D16.

Is CKT 1915 continuous between these two terminals?

  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center terminal 87 which is used for the DRL R Micro Relay #40 and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage at the instrument panel electrical center terminal 87.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Connect a fused jumper (10 A) between terminals 87 and 30 of the instrument panel electrical center which is used for the DRL L Micro Relay #40.

Does the RH turn/park illuminate?

  2. Remove the LH turn/park lamp from its socket.
  3. Connect a DMM between the LH turn/park lamp socket terminal A and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at terminal A.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

  1. Reinstall the DRL L Micro Relay #40 back into the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Disconnect the BCM connector C3.
  3. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) between the BCM connector C3 terminal A7 and ground.

Does the LH turn/park lamp illuminate?

  1. Remove the DRL L Micro Relay #40 from the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center terminal 85 used for the DRL L Micro Relay #40 and the BCM connector C2 terminal A7.
  3. Measure the continuity between the instrument panel electrical center terminal 85 and the BCM connector C3 terminal A7.

Is CKT 1915 continuous between these two terminals?

  3. Measure the voltage at terminal A.

  2. Disconnect the instrument panel electrical center connector C1.
  3. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel electrical center connector C1 terminal A9 and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at the instrument panel electrical center connector C1 terminal A9.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V
