  1. Disconnect the hazard warning switch connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between the hazard warning switch connector terminal B and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage available at the connector.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 6

Check the STP/HAZ MiniFuse® #8 for an open circuit.

Is the fuse open?

Repair a short to ground in CKT 140.

Is the repair complete?

Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 140.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the connector C209.
  2. Connect a DMM between the hazard warning switch connector terminal J and connector C209 terminal A.
  3. Measure CKT 27 for continuity between these two connector terminals.

Is continuity present in CKT 27 between these two connectors?

Repair the open in CKT 27.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the hazard warning switch connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between the connector C209 terminal A and ground.
  3. Measure the available voltage at C209 terminal A.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Replace the hazard warning switch .
