DRL Diagnostic System Check

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position (headlamps on).
  2. Turn the headlamp dimmer switch to the LOW beam position.
  1. The low beam headlamps are ON.
  2. The high beam headlamps are OFF.
    • Both Low Beam Headlamps Inoperative.
    • Low/High Beam Headlamps Inoperative.
    • One Headlamp Inoperative.

Turn the headlamp dimmer switch to the HIGH beam position.

  1. The high beam headlamps are ON.
  2. The high beam indicator is ON.
  3. The low beam headlamps are OFF.
    • Both High Beam Headlamps Inoperative (and/or High Beam Indicator).
    • Low/High Beam Headlamps Inoperative.
    • One Headlamp Inoperative.

  1. Turn the headlamp dimmer switch to the LOW beam position.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  4. Cover the daytime running lamps ambient light sensor with a dark cloth (Canada only).
  1. Front turn signal lamps illuminate for daytime running lamps (Domestic/Export).
  2. The low beam headlamps are ON (Canada only).
  3. Park, turn and marker lamps illuminate with ambient light sensor covered (Canada only).
    • Daytime Running Lights Inoperative (Domestic/Export).
    • Daytime Running Lights Inoperative (Canada).
    • Park Lamps Do Not Turn On w/Low Light Conditions (Canada).
