Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 64626  Size: SH
  1. Remove the preferred inner taillamp. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement .
  2. Access the high-mounted stoplamp through the taillamp opening.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the stoplamp.

  4. Object Number: 64627  Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws retaining the stoplamp to the rear fascia.
  6. Remove the stoplamp from the vehicle through the inboard taillamp opening.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 64627  Size: SH
  1. Install the high-mounted stoplamp into position inside the rear fascia (insert the stoplamp through the rear taillamp opening).
  2. Loosely install the stoplamp mounting screws.
  3. Align the stoplamp to the rear fascia, then press and hold the lamp frimly to the rear fascia for flushness.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the high-mounted stoplamp retaining screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the stoplamp.
  6. Install the inner taillamp. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement .
