  1. Connect a DMM between the inoperative underhood lamp connector terminal B and ground.
  2. Measure for continuity to ground in the CKT 150.

Is the CKT 150 continuous to ground?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair CKT 150 for an open or a short to battery voltage.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Interior Lights Diagnostic System Check

  1. Connect the DMM between the inoperative underhood lamp connector terminal A and ground.
  2. Remove the MONITORED LD Micro Relay #37 from the Instrument Panel Electrical Center.
  3. Connect a fuse jumper between pins 30 and 87 of the Instrument Panel Electrical Center.
  4. Measure the available voltage at the connector.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

10.0-14.0V

Check the MONITORED LD MiniFuse ® #2 for an open.

Is the fuse open?

Repair CKT 640 for an open.

Is the repair complete?

Repair CKT 640 for a short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the underhood lamp.

Is the repair complete?
