1. Install the scan tool.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Select BCM DTC with the scan tool.
4. Check for any stored DTCs which may have an effect on serial data line communication.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF.
6. Remove the scan tool.

No DTCs are stored in memory.

DTC is stored in memory. Go to applicable DTC table.

1. If the passive keyless entry system is active, walk towards vehicle.
2. If the passive keyless entry system is not active, open the driver's door.

1. Inside rearview mirror courtesy lamps are illuminated.
2. LH/RH instrument panel courtesy lamps are illuminated.
3. LH/RH rear compartment courtesy lamps are illuminated.

1. Close the driver's door.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Turn the LH/RH rearview mirror lamp switches ON and OFF.
4. Open and close the instrument panel glovebox door.
5. Open and close the LH/RH vanity mirror covers.
6. Open and close the engine compartment decklid.

1. Inside rearview mirror convenience lamps are illuminated.
2. The instrument panel storage compartment lamp is illuminated.
3. The LH/RH vanity mirror lamps are illuminated.
4. The underhood lamp is illuminated.
