Are both the LH/RH rear foglamps inoperative?

Go to Fog Lamps Inoperative

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Disconnect the fog lamp switch connector.
  3. Connect a DMM from the fog lamp switch connector terminal 4 to ground.
  4. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C1 terminal B3 to ground.
  5. Measure the voltage at the fog lamp switch connector terminal 5.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in CKT 122.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Foglamp Diagnostic System Check

  1. Disconnect BCM connector C3.
  2. Connect the DMM between the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 and the fog lamp switch connector terminal 3.
  3. Measure the resistance of CKT 183 between the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 and the fog lamp switch connector terminal 3.

Is the resistance within the specified values?

0-3ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 183.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Foglamp Diagnostic System Check

  1. Reconnect the fog lamp switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C1 terminal B3 to ground.
  3. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 to ground.

Does the rear fog lamp indicator illuminate?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Replace the fog lamp switch.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the BCM.

Is the repair complete?
