Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  2. Remove the washer solvent container retainer nuts.
  3. Lift the washer solvent container from the wheelhouse.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fluid level sensor.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector and the washer hose from the washer pump.

  7. Object Number: 174222  Size: SH
  8. Drain the washer solvent from the washer solvent container.
  9. Remove the washer pump and seal from the washer solvent container.

  10. Object Number: 198652  Size: SH
  11. Remove the fluid level sensor from the washer solvent container.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fluid level sensor into the washer solvent container.

  2. Object Number: 174222  Size: SH
  3. Install the washer pump and seal into the washer solvent container.

  4. Object Number: 174219  Size: SH
  5. Connect the electrical connector and the washer hose onto the washer pump.

  6. Object Number: 70094  Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connector onto the fluid level sensor.
  8. Place the washer solvent container over the studs on the wheelhouse.
  9. Install the washer solvent container nuts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the washer solvent container nuts to 7.5 N·m (66 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  11. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
