DEFINITION: The wiper/washer system works only in HI mode setting.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to the LO position.
  3. Using a DMM set in the voltage scale, measure the voltage between terminal E of connector C 209 and good ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

1 volt or more

Go to Step 7

Check for a poor connection at connector C 209.

Is the connection good?

Repair the connector/connection at connector C 209.

Is the repair complete?

Check for an open in CKT 143 to the wiper/washer switch.

Is there an open present?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

Repair the open to the wiper/washer switch in CKT 143.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the wiper/washer switch.

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Using a DMM set to the voltage scale, measure the voltage between terminal D of the wiper motor connector and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

1 volt or more
