Air Outlet Replacement Center

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 95730  Size: SH
  1. Remove the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove the screws retaining the air distribution duct to the underside of the upper trim pad.
  3. Remove the air distribution duct.

  4. Object Number: 95737  Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws retaining the center air outlet to the underside of the trim pad.
  6. Remove the air outlet.

  7. Object Number: 183220  Size: SH
  8. Remove the hazard warning switch from the center air outlet.
  9. CAREFULLY release the switch retaining tabs from the rear of the air outlet, then pull to remove the switch. The hazard warning switch button will release from the switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 183220  Size: SH
  1. Install the hazard warning switch to the center air outlet.
  2. Align the switch to the rear of the air outlet, then push to secure the switch.

  3. Install the air outlet into position on the upper trim pad.
  4. Install the screws retaining the center air outlet to the trim pad.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the center air outlet retaining screws to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the hazard warning switch button.
  7. Align the button to the switch, then push to secure.

  8. Install the air distribution duct into position on the upper trim pad.
  9. Insert the duct retaining tabs into the trim pad slots.

  10. Install the screws retaining the air distribution duct to the trim pad.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the air distribution duct retaining screws to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in)

  12. Install the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .

Air Outlet Replacement Passenger

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 95730  Size: SH
  1. Remove the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove the screws retaining the air distribution duct to the underside of the upper trim pad.
  3. Remove the air distribution duct.

  4. Object Number: 183231  Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws retaining the passenger air outlet to the underside of the trim pad.
  6. Remove the air outlet.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 183231  Size: SH
  1. Install the air outlet into position on the upper trim pad.
  2. Install the screws retaining the air outlet to the trim pad.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the passenger air outlet retaining screws to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  4. Install the air distribution duct into position on the upper trim pad.

  7. Tighten
    Tighten the air distribution duct retaining screws to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).

  8. Install the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
