  1. Remove relay #36.
  2. Measure the voltage between the battery side of relay terminal 30 and a good ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V

Measure the voltage between the battery side of relay terminal 85 and a good ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V

  1. Install relay #36.
  2. Remove and check fuse #11.

Is the fuse open?

  1. Disconnect the Horn connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between the relay side of the Horn connector terminal B and a good ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Approx. 0ohms

  1. Install fuse #11, if it is open, replace the fuse with a good one.
  2. Disconnect the underhood electrical center connector C3.
  3. Disconnect the Horn connector, if it is not disconnected.
  4. Measure the resistance between the Horn side of the underhood electrical center connector C3 terminal A9 and the relay side of the Horn connector terminal B.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Approx. 0ohms

  1. Disconnect the splice pack #100 terminal A.
  2. Measure the resistance between the splice pack side of the horn connector terminal A and the horn side of splice pack #100 terminal A.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Approx. 0ohms

Measure the resistance between ground side of splice pack #100 terminal A and a good ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Approx. 0ohms

  1. Connect the Horn connector and splice pack #100 connector.
  2. Disconnect under underhood electrical connector C2.
  3. Using a jumper wire, ground the relay side of the underhood electrical center connector C2 terminal C8.
  4. Measure the voltage between the relay side of the underhood electrical center connector C3 terminal A9 and a good ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V

  1. Remove the jumper wire.
  2. Connect the underhood electrical center connector C3.
  3. Using a jumper wire, ground the relay side of the underhood electrical center connector C2 terminal C8.

Does the Horn work?

  1. Disconnect the connector C221.
  2. Measure the resistance between the Horn Switch side of the underhood electrical center connector C2 terminal C8 and the relay side of the connector C221 terminal L.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Approx. 0ohms

While pressing the Horn Switch, check the resistance between the switch side of the connector C221 terminal L and N.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Approx. 0ohms

  1. Disconnect the splice pack #205 terminal H.
  2. Measure the resistance between the splice pack #205 side of the connector C221 terminal N and the switch side of the splice pack #205 terminal H.

Is the resistance within the specified range?
