Removal Procedure

The horns are both mounted behind the front fascia on the RH side of the front bumper impact bar assembly.


    Object Number: 65137  Size: SH
  1. Remove the RH front fascia lower closeout panel. Refer to Front Fascia Lower Close Out Panel in Bumpers and Fascias.
  2. Remove the brake caliper cooling duct. Refer to Front Fascia, Brake Air Inlet Duct in Bumpers and Fascias.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn assembly.

  5. Remove the bolt mounting the horn assembly to the front bumper impact bar assembly.
  6. Remove the horn assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 65138  Size: SH
  1. Install the horn assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Position the aligning tab on the horn assembly to the impact bar.

  3. Install the bolt mounting the horn assembly to the front impact bar.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the horn assembly mounting bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the horn assembly.
  6. Install the brake caliper cooling duct. Refer to Front Fascia, Brake Air Inlet Duct in Bumpers and Fascias.
  7. Install the RH front fascia lower closeout panel. Refer to Front Fascia Lower Close Out Panel in Bumpers and Fascias.
