Check the 10 amp CR CONT Minifuse® #20 for an open circuit.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the voltage between connector C221 terminal B and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified values?

10.0 -14.0V

Go to Step 13

  1. Remove the blown fuse.
  2. Disconnect connector C221.
  3. Disconnect the DRL Control Module.
  4. Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the connector C221 terminal B and ground.

Is the measured resistance to ground infinite?

Go to Step 9

Repair CKT 1239 for an open.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the Throttle Actuator (TAC) Control Module.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the connector C221 terminal A and ground.

Is the measured resistance to ground infinite?

Go to Step 10

Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the connector C221 terminal C and ground.

Is the measured resistance to ground infinite?

Go to Step 11

Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the connector C221 terminal D and ground.

Is the measured resistance to ground infinite?

Go to Step 12

Repair CKT 1239 for a short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

Repair CKT 397 for a short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

Repair CKT 84 for a short to ground.

Repair CKT 87 for a short to ground.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the cruise control ON/OFF switch to ON.
  3. Using a DMM, backprobe connector C221 terminal A and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at the connector.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value(s)?

10.0 -14.0V

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the cruise control ON/OFF switch to ON.
  3. Using a DMM, backprobe connector C221 terminal C and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at the connector with the SET button depressed.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value(s)?

10.0 -14.0V

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the cruise control ON/OFF switch to ON.
  3. Using a DMM, backprobe connector C221 terminal D and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage at the connector with the Resume/Accel button depressed.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value(s)?

10.0 -14.0V

  1. Disconnect the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Turn the cruise control ON/OFF switch to ON.
  4. Using a DMM, measure the voltage between the TAC Module connector terminal 14 and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value(s)?

10.0 -14.0V

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the cruise control ON/OFF switch to ON.
  3. Using a DMM, measure the voltage between the TAC Module connector terminal 4 and ground with the SET button depressed.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value(s)?

10.0 -14.0V

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the cruise control ON/OFF switch to ON.
  3. Using a DMM, measure the voltage between the TAC Module connector terminal 5 and ground with the Resume/Accel button depressed.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value(s)?

10.0 -14.0V
