RAP Remains ON with RH Door Open

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

  1. Install the scan tool.
  2. Establish communication with the RH door control module.

Can communication be established?

--

Refer to Scan Tool does not Communicate w/class 2 Data Line

Go to Step 3

Check for any DTCs.

Are any DTCs present?

--

Refer to applicable DTC diagnostic table

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the RH door control module connector C1.
  2. Open the RH door.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 10 of the RH door control module connector C1 and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the RH door ajar indicator switch.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal C of the RH door ajar indicator switch connector and terminal 10 of the RH door control module connector.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 746.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal D of the RH door ajar indicator switch connector and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

  1. Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 150.
  2. If CKT 150 is OK, replace the splice pack #S202 (SP202).

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Replace the RH door ajar indicator switch.

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

--

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal D1 of the BCM connector C2 and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

Go to Step 11

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 746.

Is the repair complete?

--
