Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 63821 Size: SH
  1. Mark the location of the hinge.
  2. Support the door.

    3. Object Number: 63776 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts securing the hinge to the hinge pillar.

    4. Object Number: 63779 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolts securing the hinge to the door.
  5. Remove the door hinge.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 63779 Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge and attaching bolts to the door.

    2. Object Number: 63776 Size: SH
  2. Install the hinge and attaching bolts to the hinge pillar

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge attaching bolts to 30 N·m 22 lb ft.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Remove the door support and check the alignment of the door.
