Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 63735  Size: SH
  1. Remove the roof panel. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Replacement in Roof.

  2. Object Number: 71246  Size: SH
  3. Remove the push-in retainers from the lower ends of the rear weatherstrip.
  4. Remove the screws from the upper corners of the rear weatherstrip.
  5. Remove the rear weatherstrip by pulling from the retainers.
  6. Inspect the weatherstrip for rips or tears. Replace if ripped or torn.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 71246  Size: SH
  1. Position the rear roof weatherstrip to the retainers on the roof bow.
  2. Insert the weatherstrip into the center retainer working from the center outward.
  3. Install the screws into the upper corners of the rear weatherstrip.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear weatherstrip upper corner screws to 3.4 N·m (30 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Insert the rear weatherstrip into the side retainers starting at the upper corners and working downward.
  6. Install the push in fasteners at the lower ends of the rear weatherstrip.
