DEFINITION: The fuel tank filler door lock actuator solenoid will not release.

1. Disconnect the fuel tank filler door lock release switch.
2. Use the DMM to measure for voltage at terminal D of the fuel tank filler door lock release switch.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V

1. Remove the fuel tank filler door lock.
2. Use the DMM to measure for voltage at terminal E of the fuel tank filler door lock release switch to ground with the switch in the release position.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V

Use a DMM check for continuity between terminal E of the fuel tank filler door lock release switch and terminal A of the fuel tank filler door lock actuator solenoid.

Is there continuity?

1. Disconnect the fuel tank filler door lock actuator solenoid.
2. Use a DMM to check for continuity between terminal B of the fuel tank filler door lock actuator solenoid and terminal K of splice pack #302.

Is there continuity?

1. Adjust the fuel filler switch to the release position.
2. Use the DMM to measure for voltage between terminal A and terminal B of the fuel tank filler door lock actuator solenoid.

is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V
