DEFINITION: The fog lamp switch/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic)/Rear compartment lid/fuel tank filler door lock release switch (export) does not release the rear compartment lid when activated.

Check if any DTC codes are set.

Go to Step 2

1. Disconnect the fog lamp switch/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic)/Rear compartment lid/fuel tank filler door lock release switch (export).
2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage at terminal D (export) or terminal 1 (domestic) of the switch.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

Use the DMM to check for continuity between terminal 6 (domestic) or terminal B (export) of the fog lamp switch/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic)/rear compartment lid/fuel tank filler door lock release switch (export) and connector C2 terminal Da of the Body Control Module (BCM).

Is there continuity?

Go to Step 6

Replace the fog lamp switch/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic)/rear compartment lid/fuel tank filler door lock release switch (export).
