Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 71215 Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 71223 Size: SH
  2. Remove the recliner handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 71221 Size: SH
  3. Remove the side trim panel and switch (Power Seat). Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 172298 Size: SH
  4. Remove the hog rings from the rear flap.

    5. Object Number: 172293 Size: SH
  5. Unfasten the draw string.
  6. Remove the hogrings attaching the rear corners of the seat cushion trim cover.
  7. Remove the cover.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 171518 Size: SH
  1. If the draw string was Not cut in the removal of the seat cushion cover skip to step 2. If the draw string was cut to assist in seat removal preform steps 1.1 through 1.5.
    2. 1.1. Remove the hog rings attaching the seat cushion cover rear flap.
    1.2. Untie the draw string.
    1.3. Make a very small cut (2) in each side of the cushion cover just in front of where the draw string receded to when the draw string was cut.
    1.4. Pull the draw string out of the cover far enough to tie the ends together.
    1.5. Securely tie the draw string ends together.

  2. Position the trim cover over the seat cushion foam and the seat frame.
  3. Tighten the draw string at the rear of the seat and securely tie.
  4. Install the hogrings attaching the rear side corners of the seat cushion trim cover.

    5. Object Number: 172298 Size: SH
  5. Install the hogrings attaching the rear center flap.

    6. Object Number: 172299 Size: SH
  6. If step 1 was preformed wrap the front seat material around the draw string and hog ring the material to the string. Make sure no sharp points of the hog rings are pointed down.

  7. Install the side trim panel and switch (power seat). Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

    8. Object Number: 71223 Size: SH
  8. Install the recliner handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .

    9. Object Number: 71215 Size: SH
  9. Install the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement .
