Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 71208 Size: SH
  1. Remove the lower bolt attaching the foot rest to the side rail.
  2. Remove the push-in retainers attaching the foot rest to the hinge pillar.
  3. Remove the nut attaching the foot rest to the dash panel stud.
  4. Remove the foot rest.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 71208 Size: SH
  1. Position the foot rest over the spacer on the dash panel stud.
  2. Install the nut to the stud.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten foot rest nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the push-in retainers through the foot rest to the hinge pillar.
  4. Install the bolt to the side rail.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the foot rest bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
