Removal Procedure
- Open the rear lift window.
- Remove the luggage screen from the support.
- Remove the support.
| • | To remove the rear support, remove the screw attaching the support. |
| • | To remove the front support, unscrew the support. |
Installation Procedure
- Install the luggage support.
| 1.1. | Install the rear support with screw. |
| 1.2. | Screw in the front support. |
Tighten
| • | Tighten the rear luggage support screw to 4 N·m (35 lb in). |
| • | Tighten the front luggage support to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in). |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the luggage screen to the support and close the lift window.
