Problem

A harsh bang or rattle from the rear of the removable roof panel.

Possible Cause

There is not enough latch pressure being applied to the rear locator pins.

Correction

1. Road test for the noise and/or grasp the roof panel and check for movement.
2. Adjust the hook on the rear latch inward one turn at a time and retest.

Problem

Creak from the rear of the roof with the removable roof panel installed.

Possible Cause

There is dirt accumulation in the locator sockets.

Correction

1. Road test with the roof installed and with the roof removed and listen for creak.
2. Clean the locator sockets
3. Lubricate the sockets with a thin film of white lithium grease or petroleum jelly
