Remove Procedure

Caution: To help avoid personal injury from unrepaired crash damage to a restraint system, perform the seat belt check for each seat belt system. Replace the seat belt system if there is any doubt about the condition of system components.

  1. Remove the passenger seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the buckle side seat belt.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the buckle side seat belt to the passenger seat track.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the buckle side seat belt mounting nut to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement in Seats.
