Removal Procedure

Caution: Unplug the blower motor before removal. Blower motor case contact with any ground may start the fan and cause personal injury.

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the I/P lower insulator panel - RH. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  3. Disconnect the blower motor control module electrical connector from the blower motor.

  4. Object Number: 295331  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube from the HVAC module.
  6. Remove the three blower motor retaining screws.
  7. Remove the blower motor with fan from the HVAC module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 295331  Size: SH
  1. Install the blower motor with fan to the HVAC module.
  2. Install the blower motor retaining screws.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the blower motor retaining screws to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  4. Connect the blower motor cooling tube to the HVAC module.

  5. Object Number: 295327  Size: SH
  6. Connect the blower motor control module electrical connector to the blower motor.
  7. Install the I/P lower insulator panel - RH. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  10. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization in Keyless Entry.
