Check the PKT/LP MiniFuse® #6 for an open.

Is the fuse open?

Repair a short to ground in CKT 240.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) control solenoid (4-pin) connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between the BTSI control solenoid (4-pin) connector terminal A and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage available at the BTSI control solenoid (4-pin) connector terminal A .

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 5

  1. Reconnect the BTSI control solenoid connector.
  2. Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM) connector C3.
  3. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) between the Body Control Module (BCM) connector C3 terminal B6 and ground.

Does the light inside the PRNDL illuminate?

Repair an open in the CKT 240.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the BCM.

  1. Disconnect the BTSI Control Solenoid (4-pin) connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between the BTSI Control Solenoid connector terminal B and the BCM connector C3 terminal B6.
  3. Measure for continuity in CKT 8 between the BTSI Control Solenoid connector and the BCM connector C3.

Is CKT 8 continuous between the BTSI Control Solenoid connector and the BCM connector C3?

Repair an open in the CKT 8.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the electronic traction suspension control switch connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between the electronic traction suspension control switch connector terminal 10 and ground.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  4. Measure the voltage at the electronic traction suspension control switch lamp terminal 10.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Is the instrument cluster illumination lamps and the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or fog lamp switch (export) illumination lamps inoperative?

Repair the open in CKT 9 between the headlamp switch and the electronic traction suspension control switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C3.
  2. Connect a DMM between the BCM connector C3 terminal B1 and the electronic traction suspension control switch connector terminal 9.
  3. Check for continuity in CKT 1244 between the BCM connector C3 terminal B1 and the electronic traction suspension control switch connector terminal 9.

Is the CKT 1244 continuous between these connectors?

Repair the open in CKT 1244 between the BCM and the electronic traction suspension control switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the electronic traction suspension control switch connector.
  2. Place a fused jumper (10 A) between the Body Control Module (BCM) connector C3 terminal B1 and ground.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.

Does the electronic traction suspension control switch illumination lamp turn ON?

  2. Connect a jumper wire (10 A) between the BCM connector C3 terminal B2 and terminal A4 (battery power).

Do the HVAC illumination lamps illuminate?

  1. Disconnect the HVAC control head connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between ground and the:
  3. • (C60) HVAC control head connector C1 terminal K.
    • (CJ2) HVAC control head connector terminal C1.
  4. Check for continuity in CKT 150 to G202.

Is continuity present in CKT 150 to ground?

  1. Connect the DMM between the BCM connector C3 terminal B2 and the:
  2. • (C60) HVAC control head connector C1 terminal J.
    • (CJ2) HVAC control head connector terminal C16.
  3. Check for continuity in CKT 390 between the HVAC control head and the BCM connectors.

Is continuity present in CKT 390 between the HVAC control head and the BCM connectors?

Repair the open in CKT 150 between the HVAC control head connector and G202.
